The I.T. Windows Systems Engineer will need to provide support for all installed Microsoft operating systems, Microsoft Office products, third-part applications, and installed Enterprise application platforms. This individual must ensure timely and accurate patching to systems that may pose potential risks related to the company. This position will maintain the Active Directory and make changes when necessary. You would also be expected to maintain procedures and documentation specific to server standards and provisioning, collaborate and discuss project related system specifications with our business units during evaluation phase of project
Adhere to all I.T. JSOX policies in performing day to day activities.
Periodically train on the I.T. department’s policies per schedule provided by the QC department and in compliance with JSOX.
Manage, support and administer I.T. JSOX monitoring and reporting tools.
This position is responsible for all aspects (software and hardware) of the organization’s server infrastructure and related systems. Recommends, implements, and maintains server architectures and acts as project manager for the implementation of new servers, replacement of obsolescent equipment, upgrades, migrations and server farm builds. Remotely manage and maintain infrastructures at multiple data centers.
Technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards, including routers, network switches, LAN/WAN protocols, such as DNS, DHCP, SFTP, SSL, VPN.
Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Technologies including but not limited to:
Active Directory and ADSI Edit including cross-functional forests and trusts.
Strong knowledge of server virtualization, specifically VMware Enterprise Plus.
Manage, support and administer the Blackberry infrastructure including but not limited to the Blackberry Enterprise Server and Blackberry handheld devices.
Manage, support, administer and coordinate the scheduling for timely patching of internal/external systems, including Microsoft operating systems, Microsoft Office products and third party applications.
Support existing Cisco AnyConnect VPN and firewall integration.
Create and manage user profiles for the company network.
Maintain password renewals & changes for BPCS, AS/400, & company network.
Handle service calls for hardware and software issues.
Administer and manage server disk space.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
Minimum of five years’ experience with desktop and server support. MCSE a plus.
Experience with Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, Exchange 2010 and 2013, Lync Server 2013, Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and 2012, Windows Server 2008 R2 and 2012 R2, Microsoft SharePoint Server and IIS 7.0 and 8.0. LANDESK Management Suite. TCP/IP, including routers, network switches, LAN/WAN protocols, such as DNS, DHCP, SFTP, SSL, and VPN. Working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange/Outlook e-mail system, Windows Operating Systems, and Microsoft Office Products.
Extensive experience with Microsoft PowerShell scripting or other applicable scripting technologies.
Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products.
Strong application support experience with Microsoft office and browser based applications.
Keen attention to detail with proven analytical, evaluative, and problem solving abilities.
Ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally.
Ability to multi-task; excellent organizational and planning skills required.
Proven ability in all phases of technical and project documentation.
Proven ability to: support existing software and hardware
Ability to work well with others, and use productive work methods
