NOC Engineer

Your Responsibilities:

·        Deliver outstanding customer service and knowledgeable technical support / troubleshooting to all company customer systems – ranging in size from a few instances on AWS to over 1,200 virtualized servers;

·        Monitor and respond to customer requests submitted via our internal ticketing system in a timely manner using your excellent judgement and clear communication;

·        Escalate issues to senior engineering as necessary, working and learning alongside them to perform complex engineering for proprietary customer and internal systems;

·        Produce dynamic and digestible knowledge base content to strengthen our technical support wiki and other internal documentation;

·        Other projects as assigned.

Qualifications We Look For:

·        Professional experience performing server administration (Linux RHEL 6 and/or Windows Server 2008-12 preferred or later); and demonstrated interest in expanding your technical knowledge beyond your job description (this could be an extra Linux box in your closet, creating an AWS instance to play with, additional coursework, etc.)

·        Aptitude for customer service and support with clear written and verbal communication

·        Availability to work a non-traditional schedule (three to four 12hr days per week – including nights, weekends and holidays over the course of the year;  schedules rotate every three months in support of our 24x7x365 operations)
